Writing for Middle School (English 1 and 2 Writing Prep)

This online course is designed to help middle school students improve their expository writing skills through a workshop approach. The course focuses on six key writing elements: content, organization, word choice, sentence fluency, voice, and conventions. Students will write a multi-paragraph essay and receive feedback from teachers and peers as they edit, refine, and polish each paragraph. Additionally, students will practice revising provided essays and apply those skills to their own work. The final assignment is to complete a polished version of the original essay. This course is relaxed in nature, with optional assignments, and is intended to provide practice and evaluation in writing skills, but does not offer a final grade or credit.
