Write to Ignite: The Copywriting Experience

Write to Ignite: The Copywriting Experience! is a semester-long (Spring 2025) high school course (9th-12th grade) offered on Thursdays, 12:45-1:45 pm CST. Taught by Beth Purcell, this class is part of True North Academy's Entrepreneurial Series and focuses on teaching persuasive writing and sales techniques crucial for effective copywriting. Students will explore various persuasion methods, storytelling, and design elements, culminating in a professional digital portfolio. Prerequisites include confident computer skills and a good grasp of English grammar.

The course emphasizes project-based learning, engaging students in creating and analyzing copy texts while understanding the difference between selling and educating.
