About this Course
This is a one-semester online course that offers an introduction to the study of geographic principles and their application in the major world regions. The course is divided into two main sections: physical geography and human geography. Physical geography covers landforms, waterways, climates, and natural resources, while human geography explores people, cultures, and current challenges in each region. The major world regions covered in this course include North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Oceania, and Antarctica.
Students are expected to participate in online written discussions before attending lecture and complete written assessments that require organizing ideas and facts from across multiple lectures and discussions. The lectures are provided in PDF format, making it a self-paced course that students can complete at their convenience.
