Who Dun It – Literature and Composition

The "Who Dun It? Literature & Composition" course is a high school level English course focused on writing murder mysteries. Spanning two semesters, students first learn how to write a short story and then progress to a full novel. The course combines reading and discussing classic murder mysteries by authors like Edgar Allan Poe, Sir Conan Doyle, and Agatha Christie with practical writing exercises. Students will create a distinct detective character, design a clever villain, and masterfully construct a plot filled with believable scenes, sneaky clues, and unexpected twists.
