About this Course

This is a live, online U.S. History course for high school credit that covers the social, economic, political, cultural, and intellectual development of American society from its roots to the present. The class is designed to help students master historical content and learn to think critically and argue like historians through question-asking and student input. The course is structured in eight units, with four weeks each (Weeks A, B, C, and D), and includes regular live class sessions and homework assignments. For families who wish for a more challenging course, an honors-level track with additional homework and testing expectations is available. The course is primarily for students in grades 9-12, with advanced 8th graders allowed upon discussion with the instructor.
