By the end, students understand how the government works, major political thought camps, and their role as citizens. The course integrates with American literature, garnering a discount when taken together in a "block." It requires strong reading, writing, and debate skills, with homework varying by student, averaging around one hour weekly for reading and 30 minutes to an hour for questions. Faith is integrated organically through charitable reading and examining texts from a Christian perspective.
