About this Course
Upper Elementary Math is a semester-long course designed for students aged 10-12 in 5th and 6th grade. This flexible course offers two 45-minute live class sessions per week, accompanied by structured homework assignments for daily practice. Mr. Adams, the instructor, is available to assist students and families in creating personalized math plans. During live sessions, Mr. Adams introduces new concepts and provides extensive practice, ensuring students' understanding and mastery. Homework assignments often include projects to apply learned concepts to real-world scenarios. Students also have additional opportunities to meet with Mr. Adams for questions throughout the week. This course covers fundamental math concepts such as multi-digit addition and subtraction, place value, math facts memorization, basic fractions, decimals, and percentages. The course is open to new students for the spring semester, with a prerequisite list of topics covered in the fall semester.
