The Great Conversation 2

This online course, TGC 2, is designed for 8th graders, focusing on students' engagement with the "Great Conversation" during the Middle Ages. It explores influential works from this period, including literature, history, philosophy, and theology, encouraging students to analyze and compare these texts with biblical teachings. The course covers medieval England's history, works by authors like Tolkien and Dante, and the art of dialogue from a biblical perspective, tying it all to connections with U.S. history and culture. Students spend approximately 3-5 hours per week on reading assignments and complete weekly writing tasks, including discussion board posts and papers. Please note that this course does not earn high school credit.
