The Essay Intensive

This online course, designed for high school students aged 14-18, focuses on developing academic writing skills. Over the duration of the course, students earn 0.5 high school credits. The curriculum emphasizes the conventions of academic writing, including crafting thesis statements and using MLA citation style, with personalized feedback from an experienced teacher. Learning is applied through analyzing and writing about short works from different genres, such as a fairy tale, a George Herbert poem, and a Ray Bradbury short story.
