Sr High Creative Writing Camp

This online Creative Writing course, led by instructor Lili Serbicki, delves into various elements and genres such as Dialogue, Character, Conflict, Science Fiction and Fantasy, and Poetry. The course is structured around weekly modules that include reading and discussing a short story or poetry selection, completing an original creative project, attending live discussions, and receiving feedback from peers and the instructor. The aim is to build a comprehensive writing portfolio by the end of the course, with all completed pieces fitting into categories in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

The course is designed for rising 10th-12th graders, and requires high-speed internet, a microphone, and streaming video capabilities. The instructor, Lili Serbicki, provides detailed critiques of student work and offers grades with the option for resubmission to improve grades. Weekly check-in emails are sent to both parents and students.
