Spanish III

Spanish III is a rigorous, full-year online course for high school students (grades 9-12), designed to build upon Spanish II or prior Spanish language knowledge. The course offers one foreign language credit upon completion. It focuses on advanced grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Additionally, it incorporates cultural understanding, study skills, time management, and technology usage. Students will be evaluated on their vocabulary knowledge, class participation, and spoken language competence, with an expected standard of near-native pronunciation and understanding of common expressions.

This course uses the 'Breaking the Spanish Barrier LEVEL TWO' textbook and requires online access. Instructors will teach and grade the course, with each student aiming to memorize over 1100 words/phrases/sentences and gain proficiency in formal Spanish language use. The course is recommended for students who have completed Spanish II or have a good understanding of the Spanish language.
