About this Course

The online course "Spanish III" is a full-year course that continues the language training started in Spanish II. Throughout the course, students will develop their ability to communicate in Spanish by learning how to correct false statements, discuss various topics such as films, books, and changes over time, compare their own country to others, and talk about strengths and weaknesses. To support these communicative tasks, students will learn the necessary grammatical structures. The course aligns with the World-readiness Standards for Learning Languages from the ACTFL, focusing on five key areas: Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities.

It is recommended that students have completed Spanish II and be comfortable with the topics covered in Grammar III. While grammar instruction is not a prerequisite, having a strong understanding of grammar rules is found to contribute to the success of learning a new language. Students can use the placement tests found in the grammar course descriptions to determine the appropriate grammar course for them.
