Spanish 1B Language and Culture

This online course is the second part of a two-year Spanish 1 program, designed to provide a comprehensive and manageable approach to learning spoken and written Spanish. The course covers grammar, vocabulary, culture, pronunciation, and comprehension, with interactive homework including various activities to build necessary skills. Class time is dedicated to practicing conversational Spanish in practical, everyday situations and provides evaluations and graded work including written compositions, quizzes, exams, and recorded spoken submissions.

Additionally, students have the option to supplement their one-session-a-week Spanish course with "Spanish Conversations for Spanish 1B" to gain more instruction, pronunciation practice, and conversation opportunities with the teacher and other students. The course may be combined in series with Spanish 1A, providing an equivalent of HS Spanish 1 taken over two years for a more relaxed pace and a stronger foundation.
