Spanish 1A Language and Culture

This online course is the first part of a two-year Spanish 1 program designed for high school students. It uses a custom-designed, interactive approach to teach grammar, vocabulary, culture, pronunciation, and comprehension in a manageable way. The course includes homework assignments such as vocabulary activities, reading, cultural elements, grammar drills, audio comprehension, and pronunciation lessons to build a strong foundation in spoken and written Spanish. During class, students are given the opportunity to practice conversational skills and receive evaluations from the instructor. This course may be combined with Spanish 1B to create a two-year Spanish 1 program.
