Sixth Grade Literature

This English Literature course, suitable for 5th to 6th graders (ages 10-12), explores four classic novels - "Adam of the Road," "The Door in The Wall," "Robin Hood," and "King Arthur" - spanning one academic year, with one book per quarter. The course amply provides opportunities for students to delve into the sights and sounds of Medieval England and the themes of heroism, strength, and service. Through reading guides and daily reading prompts, students enhance their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. Active in-class participation, online quizzes, and enrichment activities determine the student's grade.
