Shakespeare

This is a one-semester online course that focuses on reading and analyzing the plays of William Shakespeare. The course operates on a four-year cycle, with a new set of plays related to a common theme introduced each year. Students will read and discuss the plays, answer questions related to characters, plot, setting, style, language, and theme, and participate in dramatic readings of selected passages. Additionally, students will study the historical context of Shakespeare's time, influences on his work, and the lasting impact of his plays.
