Seventh Grade Literature

This online literature course is designed for students in grades 6 to 7 (ages 11-13) and covers four well-known novels throughout the academic year, with one book per quarter. The course material includes "The Trojan War", "Anne of Green Gables", "The Bronze Bow", and "The Hobbit". It aims to develop active reading skills, focusing on storylines, vocabulary, spelling, comprehension, and composition. Students will prepare for each chapter and complete periodic reading quizzes, along with one enrichment activity per book. The course is intended for students who might not be ready for the more challenging texts in eighth-grade literature and does not require any prerequisites. Participation, reading quizzes, and enrichment activities will determine the grade.
