About this Course

This is a self-paced online SAT and ACT math prep course designed by Apologia math author, Kathryn Gomes. The course is suitable for 8th-12th grade students who are preparing to take the SAT or ACT exam, and has been designed with flexible assignments to cater to a wide range of students, from those aiming for a perfect score to those who struggle with high school mathematics. The course includes over 30 original instructional videos that teach and review SAT and ACT math content, and it is guaranteed to improve students' performance in regular math class as well.

The course is structured to cover one topic per week, starting from an introduction to the SAT/ACT test and followed by reviews of Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Data Displays, Statistics, Probability, and Functions. Students have access to the course website for three months, and they can communicate with the instructor via email with any concerns.

The technical requirements for the course include high-speed broadband Internet, a sound card and microphone for live sessions, streaming video capabilities to watch recorded lectures, and a TI-83 graphing calculator. The course includes quizzes on Canvas and Khan practice problems, which are graded, and students can reach out to the instructor with any questions or concerns.
