About this Course

This seven-week mini-course, led by instructor Lili Serbicki, is a comprehensive preparation for the most recent version of the SAT in the areas of Reading and Writing MCQs, following the College Board's elimination of the essay from the exam in 2021 to help 9th-11th graders planning to take the SAT exam within the next year. The course focuses on demystifying the English sections of the SAT, providing practice for the reading and writing MCQs, enhancing SAT-level vocabulary, and offering strategies for improving vocabulary beyond the exam.

The course is structured around weekly assignments, including SAT English MCQs, audiovisual lectures, chapters from an SAT study guide, and additional handouts and resources. Instructor Lili Serbicki provides feedback on students' weaknesses and helps them reach individual goals. To participate, students need high-speed broadband Internet, a sound card and microphone for live sessions, and streaming video capabilities to watch recorded lectures. Weekly check-in emails are sent to both parents and students.
