Russian 1 Language and Culture (Honors)

This online course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of the Russian language and culture. The course is suitable for high school students, including eighth-graders who are prepared for high school level rigor, pace, and evaluation standards. The curriculum covers the basics of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Russian, starting with the Russian Cyrillic alphabet. Students will learn to introduce themselves, ask about others, talk about their possessions, and discuss their studies and daily activities. The course includes video interviews, audio, and self-correcting exercises to facilitate learning in all four communicative skills.
