Rhetoric Writing II

This is a full-year online course that serves as the second year of a three-year high school sequence focused on writing and rhetoric. Built on Thomas Kane’s New Oxford Guide to Writing and other rhetoric resources, the course follows Rhetoric I and delves deeper into the development of sophisticated sentences and paragraphs. Students will learn to create different forms of persuasive essays and apply classical rhetoric techniques to support various topics. The course also covers finding subjects and constructing theses, close examination of using sources in support of topics, and research techniques.
