Research Writing with Confidence

"Research Writing with Confidence" is a semester-long (Spring 2025), half-credit, college preparatory English course designed for 10th-12th graders who have already mastered basic essay writing skills. The course focuses on advanced research methods, academic writing formats like APA, and responsible use of AI technology. Students will complete an in-depth research paper, with weekly assignments and cumulative work. Advanced presentation techniques will be taught for a final exposition. Prerequisites include proficient typing skills, basic internet search access, and a fundamental understanding of 5-paragraph essay structure.
