About this Course

The "Reading for the Logic Stage III" is a full-year course that aims to engage logic-stage students in reading and literary discussion. Students attend a weekly class where the instructor facilitates discussions using guided prompts. Over the course of the year, students have the opportunity to serve as discussion facilitators. This course is the final level in a three-part sequence and focuses on deepening reading comprehension, reinforcing the use of literary terms and devices, and providing evidence to support textual assertions." At the end of the course, students will earn a letter grade. Notably, students in this level can vote and select the last two text selections of the course, with instructor guidance. The final two text choices are shared with parents and students at the start of the spring semester to allow time for obtaining and previewing the texts.
