Psychology

The online course, "Psychology: Understanding Human Behavior", is a full-year, college credit-bearing course designed for motivated high school students in grades 10-12. Taught from a Christian perspective, the course aims to provide students with a robust understanding of human behavior and its applications to various career fields. Through a Fact-based approach, students will explore topics such as biological bases of behavior, learning, cognition, motivation, personality, psychological disorders, and social psychology, among others. The course includes readings from the "Psychology 2e" textbook, access to study materials, and optional CLEP test preparation. It is particularly suited for students preparing for the Psychology CLEP exam and those interested in mental health services, medical fields, teaching, or any role involving direct customer service. Recommended pairings include "Politics, Philosophy & Economics" and "The Story of Christianity".
