Printmaking

This is a one-semester online course designed for high school students interested in learning about printmaking. Over the course of the summer, students will study the fundamentals of printmaking and explore various printing techniques, including relief printing, intaglio printing, and screen printing. The course will cover the necessary materials and tools for each process and delve into the concepts of layering, repetition, and monotype. Students can expect to gain an understanding of visual composition, contrast, and color, and will have the opportunity to create their own portfolio of prints to showcase their new skills.
