Primary Drawing 2 | Spring

"Introduction to Drawing" is a beginners' art course designed for students in grades 1 to 3. It builds upon the foundation laid in "Primary Drawing 1," though prior completion is not compulsory. The course approach views drawing as a learnable skill akin to reading, writing, and math, fostering mindfulness by encouraging students to observe their surroundings meticulously. Students will cultivate drawing techniques such as understanding spatial relationships, composition, line, and basic color theory. The course will draw inspiration from master artists like the Dutch masters and Audubon, studying their artistic techniques to apply in creating original pieces from both observation and imagination.
