Pre-Algebra

This online course is a crucial bridge between elementary mathematics and algebra, with a focus on developing number sense, critical thinking, and reasoning skills. It covers a wide range of topics including basic algebra concepts, integer operations, solving equations, linear equations, ratios, rates, proportions, percent, angle relationships, Pi, area and circumference, surface area and volume, the Pythagorean Theorem, probability, and statistics. The course uses a customized version of the Math Mammoth curriculum and is designed to prepare students for the Pearson math series used in TPS Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Teacher-led discussions and group work are used to facilitate student discovery and promote independent learning.
