Pre-Algebra

This is a full-year course that serves as preparation for Algebra I. The course is based on Mary Dolciani’s Pre-Algebra: An Accelerated Course and adopts a procedural approach to pre-algebra, aiming to develop a deep understanding of the subject, enhance problem-solving skills, and build confidence in learners.

Throughout the course, students will explore various topics, including a review of arithmetic skills, integers, rational numbers, solving equations, data analysis, ratios and percent problems, graphing on the coordinate plane, probability, and an introduction to geometry. A Pre-Algebra (Traditional) Readiness Test is the required prerequisite for this course.
