Planning and Applying for College

This interactive online course, spanning a semester, is designed to assist high school students in navigating the college application process. It begins with self-discovery, helping students identify their talents and aspirations, and then guides them through researching majors, careers, and suitable schools. Practical skills such as creating a resume, preparing for standardized tests, and managing the application process are also covered in depth.

The course culminates in the completion of a resume, a polished personal statement, and, as age-appropriate, the submission of applications to chosen schools. It employs an interactive format with presentations, question and answer sessions, independent work time, and one-on-one coaching from the instructor. The course's pass/fail grading system reflects this hands-on, supportive approach.
