Physical Science: Intro to Physics

The Physical Science course is a one-semester course designed for high school students in grades 9-10, with advanced 8th graders also welcome. It provides an introduction to the fundamentals of physics, covering topics such as motion, forces, energy, electricity, and magnetism. The course requires a solid understanding of algebra and includes simple calculations, hands-on labs, and a project.

The course is structured with weekly live classes, guided notes, videos, textbooks, and web-based reading assignments, and electronic homework assignments. The live class time is used for interactive learning, answering questions, and observing demonstrations. Students are expected to attend the live classes, but recordings are available for occasional absences. The course includes grades for notes, homework, labs, participation, and unit exams, with grades and feedback provided within one week of the due date.
