Physical Science

This is an intensive introductory physical science course designed for motivated 7th to 8th graders (ages 12-14) with strong reading skills. Students explore physics and chemistry fundamentals, covering topics like matter, energy, forces, substances, and electromagnetism. The course employs a mastery-oriented approach and includes 7 lab experiments using everyday items. Assessment comprises weekly quizzes, class participation, exams, and experiments. A physical science textbook by John D. Mays is required, and a USB headset microphone is recommended for communication.
