Physical Science

The course, "Physical Science," is designed for students in grades 6-8 and 9th graders who can read independently and have a foundation in arithmetic. It explores the natural world through the lens of Science, specifically focusing on matter, energy, and their interactions. Beginning with an introduction to these fundamental concepts, the course delves into physics and chemistry, teaching students how to measure, observe, and document their findings. Throughout the year, students will analyze the architecture of the atom, the nature of chemical reactions, and various forms of energy. It blends language arts and mathematics, with discussions, lab experiences, and written assignments. Students will leave the course with a solid technical foundation, a sense of wonder at the universe, and unanswered questions for further exploration.
