Persuasive Writing: Argument Builder | Spring

This online course, lasting a semester, focuses on argumentation and the skill of constructing persuasive arguments. Students delve into historical examples, both ancient and modern, to understand and practice the art of presenting truth in written and spoken forms. Key components include the study of logical fallacies and participating in a formal debate to apply these concepts. It's recommended that students have prior knowledge of introductory informal and formal logic courses before enrolling, as this course assumes familiarity with these subjects. Upon completion, students earn 1/2 high school credit in English, writing, or speech and debate.
