Number Theory

The one-semester course "Introduction to Number Theory" from Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is a rigorous examination of integers and their properties. Students can expect to study primes and composites, base numbers, modular arithmetic, linear congruences, and special numbers such as palindromes. This course emphasizes problem-solving skills, encouraging students to attempt problems multiple times to master the concepts.

This course will not be offered during the 2024-2025 school year, but otherwise, it is a semester-long course. It requires students to pass the AoPS Introduction to Number Theory Pretest as a prerequisite.
