About this Course
The course "Classical Composition: Narrative Stage" is designed for students in grades 5-6 (ages 10-12) who have completed the Fable Stage of Classical Composition. It focuses on enhancing students' narrative writing skills, imaginative thinking, and versatility in communication. Students will learn to create narratives using literary techniques like figures of description and multiple perspectives. The course emphasizes participation, completion of Nine Narrative Components, and final draft submissions. Typing is minimal for younger students, with parents' assistance recommended for those struggling with typing. Completing previous Classical Composition levels and basic English grammar knowledge are prerequisites.
Required materials include the "Classical Composition: Narrative Student Guide", "English Grammar Recitation Book II", and previous Classical Composition student guides for review. A USB headset with a microphone is also necessary.
