MS Acrylic Iconography Workshop | Spring

This online course, "Middle School Iconography Workshop: Saint John of Shanghai & San Francisco," is an art-focused learning experience designed for students aged 9-12. Spanning a single semester, the workshops center around painting an icon of Saint John, known for his artistic and academic contributions. Participants will use acrylic paint to create the icon, developing their skills through a structured, 3-year cycle that covers color, tone, facial features, Byzantine lettering, and line painting. Each session begins with a prayer and a short presentation related to the iconography or the saint. Notably, this course is not designed for high school students, nor does it adhere to any specific academic standards like AP or Honors.
