MS Acrylic Iconography Workshop | Fall

This online art course, designed for students aged 9-12, focuses on teaching iconography through the creation of an icon of Saint Olga of Alaska using acrylic paint. Each session begins with a prayer and a short presentation related to the iconography or saint, followed by practical painting work. Students will learn to mix and apply acrylic paint, use highlights and linework to render the saint, and explore various artistic techniques over a 3-year cycle, including color theory, facial features, Byzantine lettering, and painting lines. The course is structured to ensure that students who participate in multiple workshops never repeat the same content.
