About this Course

"Middle School Greek 1" is a beginner's course in the Ancient Greek language, designed for students aged 11 to 14. It follows the first six chapters of the textbook "Athenaze" at a slower pace, covering two chapters per semester instead of the usual ten. This course introduces students to 1st and 2nd declension nouns and adjectives, pronouns, adverbs, conjunctions, and prepositions. It also covers -ω verbs, -α and –ε contract verbs, and the verb εἰμί in the present tense, along with the indicative, infinitive, and imperative moods in the active voice. The course incorporates English grammar lessons to aid understanding.

Classes are held once a week for one and a half hours, with approximately 30 minutes of daily homework assigned.
