Middle School French 1

This online course serves as an introductory level in learning the French language, suitable for individuals seeking basic communication skills in written and spoken French. Over the course of a semester, students will be equipped to conjugate verbs in the present tense, create short sentences, understand simple stories, and pronounce words correctly. They will also expand their vocabulary, including idiomatic expressions, and learn to discuss everyday topics in French. The curriculum emphasizes all four linguistic abilities: reading, writing, listening, and speaking, with interactive classwork, homework assignments, quizzes, and tests providing ample practice and assessment opportunities.

Culturally, students will explore the art, history, music, and culture of the French-speaking world, fostering an appreciation for the language's global impact.
