Middle School Chemistry

This is a full-year online course that focuses on providing inquiry-based instruction in chemistry, tailored specifically for logic-stage (middle school) students. The course covers a wide range of topics, including the periodic table of elements, properties of matter and solutions, chemical reactions, acid-base chemistry, biochemistry, and the chemistry of industry. Throughout the course, students will gain an understanding of key components of the scientific method and will be expected to apply them to their studies. The course includes various assessments, such as narrative summaries, group assignments, data collection and analysis, and written scientific reports.
