Medieval World to Reformation Literature

This online course introduces high school students to a selection of classical literary texts known as the Great Books, covering the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation periods. The curriculum focuses on literature, but also incorporates study of medieval and Renaissance history. Students will analyze influential texts and characters that shaped societies, arts, and ideas during these eras. Central to the course is exploring virtue and wisdom within the Great Books and observing the influence these authors have on one another, highlighting the Great Conversation of Western civilization.
