About this Course
The Mathematics Club at WTMA is a one-semester, bi-weekly meeting for students who want to engage in math-related activities and friendly competition. The club is divided into two stages: Logic for students in Fundamental Mathematics, Pre-Algebra, or Algebra I, and Rhetoric for those in Algebra II and higher. Rhetoric stage students will have the opportunity to participate in Math League Competitions.
Math Club members will work on creative group projects, hold elections for club officers, and plan special events. The club is designed to complement, not replace, regular mathematics instruction, so students should be concurrently enrolled in a mathematics class. WTMA's Fall and Spring Clubs meet bi-weekly, with sessions led by instructors who will confirm the first club meeting date via email at the start of each semester.
