This online course is designed for motivated fourth-grade students who are ready for an accelerated approach to math. Using the evidence-based Singapore Math curriculum, the course employs a concrete-to-pictorial-to-abstract teaching method to facilitate a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and processes before introducing math formulas. The course covers a range of topics including whole number and decimal computations, fractions, geometry, data analysis, and probability. The class format includes teacher-led modeling, group exercises, and guided practice, with a focus on model-drawing as a core problem-solving technique. This approach provides a logical connection to algebraic math.

Grade Level: The course is tailored for fourth-grade students who are prepared to advance in math, but older elementary students should consider taking TPS Math Fundamentals at their own level of readiness.
