Math 7

Math 7 is an online course designed for 7th-8th grade students, building upon skills learned in Math 6. It encourages students to discuss and explore new mathematical concepts, fostering independent problem-solving and a deep appreciation for the subject. Topics covered include operations with integers and rational numbers, equations and inequalities, direct and inverse proportions, surface area and volume, statistics, probability, and simplifying equations using the laws of exponents.

To enroll, students should have a solid foundation in multiplication facts, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, as well as experience with word problems. They should expect to spend 1-2 hours per week on homework, with extra time for test corrections. Depending on their future Algebra plans and prior experience, students may opt for Pre-Algebra instead, particularly those new to Singapore Math.
