Marine Biology

This online course focuses on the biological sciences, specifically delving into marine life. The first semester is dedicated to the classification, anatomy, and physiology of various marine organisms, from simple invertebrates such as crabs and mollusks to more complex creatures like sea turtles and marine mammals. The second semester explores marine ecology, with a particular emphasis on the habitats that support the organisms previously studied. Additionally, the course covers marine plants, seaweeds, and other environmental components that contribute to the ecological balance in the sea. While lab exercises are included to reinforce course content, there are not enough lab activities to meet the requirements of a high school lab science.
