Logic Readiness (Self-Paced)

The course, planned to evolve slightly by 2025-26 in response to changes in Logic & Composition sequences, is an abbreviated version of the full-year Logic 1 class. Designed for new students seeking to bolster their foundation in logic before advancing to Logic 2, this class focuses on teaching forms of correct thinking. Students explore traditional Aristotelian tools like the square of opposition and validity-checking rules. Additionally, they review common logical fallacies to avoid. The course spans from June through May.
