Liberal Arts Level 2: Early Chapter Books

The "Liberal Arts Level 2: Early Chapter Books" is a literacy-focused online course designed to build upon the skills and love for learning established in Level 1. It encourages a passion for learning through captivating stories, exploration of the natural world, and the disciplines of Eastern Orthodox Christian faith. The curriculum, built around engaging early chapter books and short story collections, fosters attentive students, supportive peers, curious learners, and independent critical thinkers. Students develop writing skills through creative assignments, personal letters, stories, and narration practice. The class meets twice a week, with one session dedicated to student-instructor discussions and sharing work. Prerequisites include beginner-level reading proficiency, understanding of stories, effective communication skills, and responsible assignment completion. Parent presence is required during the second class of each week.
