About this Course

The course, designed for students aged 8-11 (grades 3-5), is an introductory Latin program titled "An Introduction to Latin for Younger Students". Students will learn three noun and two adjective declensions, along with two verb conjugations and over 250 Latin vocabulary words. They will also engage in learning basic songs and prayers. The course requires a daily commitment of 30 minutes and assessments are based on participation and weekly quizzes. After initial familiarization, students will actively participate by reciting in class.

Key materials include the "Latina Christiana Fourth Edition Student Workbook", "Latin Games & Puzzles", "Latina Christiana Review Worksheets", and a Pronunciation CD. Students need a USB headset, and a teacher manual is optional but helpful. The course does not require heavy typing but recommends a free typing tool for younger students to familiarize them with the basics of a computer keyboard.
