Latin 2

This online course is a sequel to Latin 1, intended for students in grades 8-12 who have previously studied Latin or have equivalent knowledge. Building on the fundamentals of Latin grammar, the course delves into more complex grammatical structures such as comparing adjectives and adverbs, the passive voice, relative clauses, and indirect statements. Students also expand their Latin vocabulary and English derivative recognition through lively passages and translation exercises. The course includes preparation for the National Classical Etymology Exam, the National Latin Vocabulary Exam, and the National Latin Exam, with the course fee covering these registration costs and medal/certificate distribution. Students can expect to dedicate 3-5 hours weekly to homework, including translation assignments and assessments on vocabulary and grammar.
