"Language Arts 4 is an advanced, semester-long online course designed for 8th graders with proven reading, grammar, and writing skills. It focuses on both literature analysis and composition, emphasizing the first three canons of classical rhetoric: invention, arrangement, and elocution. Students explore various literary works, such as short stories, novels, a Shakespearean play, and poetry, and use these texts as bases for writing reflective essays and other compositions. The course also reinforces proper grammar, mechanics, and usage through weekly exercises and sentence analysis.
